## README.md

# bench-log

Tiny stdlib-only CLI for jotting bench measurements into a CSV while I work
on the bench (supply rails, currents, temperatures).

    python3 benchlog.py log vin 5.02 -u V
    python3 benchlog.py log vin 4.97 -u V --at 2026-10-20T09:30 # backfill
    python3 benchlog.py log iload 0.182 -u A -n "motor spinning"
    python3 benchlog.py summary
    python3 benchlog.py summary --json # machine-readable stats
    python3 benchlog.py summary --since 2026-10-27T08:00
    python3 benchlog.py tail -n 5
    python3 benchlog.py plot vin -o vin.svg # SVG line chart
python3 benchlog.py check vin --min 4.8 --max 5.2 # exit 1 if out of range

Options: `-f FILE` selects the CSV (default `readings.csv`, git-ignored).

Tests: `python3 -m unittest test_benchlog`

## CI

`.gothab/workflows/test.yml` runs the unit tests on every push to Gothab Actions.
Check results with `gt ci list -R ada-workshop/bench-log`.
